A Great Hotel
I was very satisfied with the Amrath hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice. The only problem I had was my room was on the first floor and did not afford a great view and was too close to the elevator (noisy). Other that that, it was great. And the free mini-bar was a welcome sight after a long day of sightseeing. The location is good also as it is close to the Central train station. I’d go back again in a heartbeat.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Forget about the hotel breakfast (too expensive). Also, if you like to walk and have the time, forget about the metro. Amsterdam is small enough to walk to many of the local sights and it’s a great way to see the city.

Excellent Hotel
We enjoyed our stay very much, the room was very spacious and really clean, probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! Brilliant free mini-bar. Lovely swimming pool.
