What a fab Hotel
6 "girls" on a city break. All thought the Hotel was in a great location, the reception staff were very welcoming and the brekfast was definitely worth getting up for. Will definitely recommend this hotel and hope to visit again in the future.
Visit the Palace on a Wednesday - free for EU passport holders. Try the market in the evening for tapas and wine - great atmosphere

Great base for exploring Madrid
This is a small hotel - three star because it lacks the facilities you get (but dont need in large hotels). The room was excellent - first class user-controlled air-conditioning with a high ceiling. The bed was in a half floor over the bathroom and was reached by tiny stairs (not to be used after a drink!). The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room quite magnificent in terms of its décor. Ive been in far worse 4 or 5 star hotels. Its difficult to find on a map because the street its in is probably only 100 yards long. It is very close to Opera and Sol Metros. The free WiFi worked well and the most important thing was the fridge which allowed me to have cold drinks - vital in Spain in Summer.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Madrid is a fantastic city. I used a 5-day Metro pass to get round on the efficient Merto. Dont forget to visit Toledo and Segovia using the AVE trains - fast and comfortable. Take care in Madrid. Sadly, someone attempted to get my money twice.

reasonable price, great location
This hotel was modern and bright, but not the most comfortable place I have stayed. The breakfast was great, and the location was perfect for sightseeing. A good place to stay on a budget - not for those who like luxury!
Traveller's tip on dining
Eating from the menu del dia is facntastic value for money - is available in almost all restaurants.
