Ideal for families or groups travelling with children.
We travelled to Shanghai with a group of school children. The three bedroom apartments were huge, very modern and ideal for us as we could over see the children at nights. The living room and kitchen were big and ideal for our requirements. I would recommend this hotel for any family or group travelling with children.
Yu Gardens is an excellent place to shop for traditional goods-everything is so cheap.

Good basic appartment, location ok, I will use this place again
I travel a lot and have visited SH many times, tired of hotels so like to stay appartment style. The Rayfont has good size suite rooms, main, bed, bathroom and kitchen with balcony. The Swimming pool in the basement is basic, good size with small sauna. Within walking distance of French Qtr (if you know the area - check a map first). Taxi ride to most main areas less than 15 Yuan. Good place.

does what it says on the box
A short supply of english speaking staff ca be a problem otherwise they are very friendly and helpfull. The location is a very good walk from the action (the Bund)area and taxis are hard to get but cheap when you get one this taxi ride can take a long time due to volume of traffic Watch for all the extras that are to pay for coffee, shower gel etc. a very handy 24hr shop just next door also ATM next door too.
