Charm in the old part of town
This hotel is located in the old part of Gallipoli on a quiet street close to the free parking lot in the plaza by the port. The people running the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the top floor with a terrace where we sat out at night enjoying the atmosphere of the town. Everything about the room was pleasing, without any complaints. When returning to Gallipoli we will happily stay there again.
Traveller's tip on dining
There is a Slow Food restaurant only a few blocks away where we ended up eating all our dinners. The name is Angolo Blu. It serves local food prepared very well at a very moderate price. It surpassed all of the other places we investigated in Gallipoli.

Fabulous base for adventures in the heel
Relais Corte Palmieri is a terrific hotel, right in the heart of Gallipoli. The room was stylish and the staff were very friendly (multi-lingual). The best feature is the spacious roof terrace, where breakfast is served. Enjoy.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Pick up a few bottles of wine (especially the local rosé) from the vineyard shops you pass on the country roads in Puglia and drink them on the hotel terrace as the sun goes down.
