Good value
Hotel was older but quite adequate, well kept, clean and comfrotable and a good value for the price. It could use more non-smoking rooms.Biggest issue was no internet in the rooms. This is a problem for the business traveler. Staff was helpfull and courteous.

They X-ray your bags!
The title is probably more a reflection of the level of security considered appropriate in Kuwait City than a comment on the hotel. But it grabbed your attention. This is a Holiday Inn, the facilities on offer are those you’d expect to find in a Holiday Inn anywhere in the world. But compared to some I’ve used, the building is in very good condition, the staff are friendly and helpful, everything is what you’d expect. Any negatives? The lunch service in the ’Downtown’ restaurant is not great - the buffet is uninspiring, not very tasty. ’The Square’ in the reception is much better but however much the recommend it avoid the Tiramisu! Air-con in the room a bit noisy and (in February) outside building site noise makes sleeping with the window open less than restful. You can tell from the minor quibbles... overall a pleasant place to stay for business purposes.
