Nice place
We enjoyed our stay. The location and light breakfast were fine. The little kitchen was handy. We had a fun time and cheap taxis were always available. It was hot and muggy (in late October-early November) and our air conditioning did not work. We asked, called, reminded and no one ever attempted to fix it. We bought batteries for the remote AC control but it still did not work. So we had the window open a lot, despite rain and the pigeons roosting just outside our window. Despite all the nice features, the lack of response to our concerns about the AC remains in our minds. We recommend it if you can be laid back about response time.

Kiss any thoughts of sleep goodbye
I stayed here in early November 2009 for 6 nights. Pros - * Fairly close to Recoletta and Santa Fe (big shopping street) * Breakfast was always tasty * Reception staff all spoke excellent English if you are not confident with your Spanish Cons - * Avenida Callao is a 5 lane main road that runs through BA. I would compare it to living on the A4 out of London to Heathrow. Our room was so noisy that the glass would vibrate from the noise of the traffic. When we first checked in, I thought that the noise would abate overnight. But it didn’t, if anything it was worse as there seemed to be bus after bus and truck after truck screaming past. There was no double glazing on the windows. * When I spoke to the staff about moving us (there was no way I could stay there for another 5 nights) they told me that "Calloa is a very busy street so I should have asked for a quiet room when I booked" and that the "hotel was very full" so we couldn’t be moved. Fair enough, I will now always ask for a quiet room when I book a any hotel but seriously, how as a foreigner was I supposed to know that Callao was one of the busiest roads in BA? Their webite is misleading and does NOT mention this at all. Overall, I guess you get what you paid for but I was incredibly disappointed (and exhausted!) at the end of my stay. It is definitely not worth 4 stars in my book.
