Great hotel! A real gem!
This hotel was perfect for our needs. We spent 4 nights. Just off La Rambla, but extremely quiet. Very good sound insulation. With a series of internal courtyards, it was hard to believe you were in the middle of a city. Just a few steps from a Metro station and just around the corner from the Opera House. Close to the cathedral, the Picasso museum, lots of restaurants and shops. Being opera lovers, we loved the opera theme of each room. Very high tech - provided a computer and free wi-fi in each room. Definitely would like to go back.

Good value
The hotel is perfectly located near La Boqueria market and was modern, efficient, clean, friendly, quiet (which is important in Barca). Beds a little hard and rooms smallish but for us this was fine. I would go back. Don’t have their over-priced breakfast - pop over the road to La Boqueria.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
First up, buy a T10 travel card for 7.70 euros - it is valid for a couple and gives 10 single rides on the bus/metro/train. Then go to the tourist office under Placa de Catalunya to buy tickets for theatre etc. We were lucky to see Sara Baras perform - her’s is the best flamenco dance troupe in the world!

Great Location
The Petit Palace Opera Garden is in a great location for touring Barcelona. Down a small alley from Las Ramblas, you are steps away from the hustle and bustle of humanity. Our children enjoyed strolling up and down the street and seeing all the characters on the street. My son loved the laptop in the room with un limited internet access. The hotel had old world charm with all the modern conveniences.
