Beautiful scenic surroundings!

This was a great place with a very homey family atmosphere. Food was great, people were very nice. It was a little tough to find, so bring driving directions. Do not rely on a GPS to find it. Some very nice people had to help us get there, once we were within about 2 miles of the hotel. I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing location in Tuscany

The hotel is in a good location for visiting Siena, Florence and smaller towns such as San Gimignano and Volterra. Quite a few nice tours can be booked through the hotel. A bit hard to find in the countryside, but well worth the extra effort. The view is quite amazing. The set-course dinner was very good.

basic rooms, overpriced, better hotels in the immediate area

This hotel is really expensive for what you get - the apartments look good and reasonable value oif you are a large group, but for me the hotel rooms are overpriced for the facilities and better locations of some of the hotels. This is NOT in San Gimignano, its a good 20 minute drive on very bedy roads. Its actually much closer to Certaldo, and should probably be marketed as such, given the number of hotels there are much closer to San Gimignano itself.
