Nice hotel in Orbetello
Nice enough hotel in Orbetello. A bit noisy as on the main street through the town, but convenient for catching the bus from the Station or to San Stefano. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.

Better than expected
Being quoted as a seventies styled hotel I had a degree of reservation but was pleasantly surprised. The location was on the main road at the extremity of the new town, next to the park opening onto the old town ( map reference needs changing ). The room was suitably large with a small kitchen area and very large balcony. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a good selection.
Traveller's tip on dining
Try La Nikkia Ristorante. From the hotel through the Town Gate entrance to the Old Town, keep straight on 100yds on the Rt. Brilliant sea food.

Excellent hotel
This hotel was our last multi-night stop before leaving Italy. The woman manager who greeted us, as well as did all the breakfast set-ups, as well as literally waved goodbye, was wonderful. She filled our request for a ground floor room as we had a custom tandem bike we were touring with so we didn’t have to try to assemble, store, and re-pack the bike at a different location, much less try to take it in the lift/elevator. Breakfasts were simple and plentiful. Only downside (very slight) was that the floor was a little soiled, but then again, almost all the small hotels and B&Bs we stayed at had the same issue. It was a great base to explore the Tuscan lowlands.
