A lovely hotel and great place to stay
I booked this hotel as a 10th wedding anniversary surprise for my wife. She was most impresssed with my choice and i earned lots of brownie points for the surprise.This is a modern style of hotel so if you like old world charm this is not the place for you. If your the sort of person who likes designer goods you will feel right at home here. The staff were friendly and seemed pleased to help when asked.
Traveller's tip on shopping
great location if you like shopping as a large shopping centre is 3 minutes walk away. The centre stays open till midnight and has lots of eating outlets which are generally cheaper then the restaurants if your on a budget.

this hotel is in an area of Lisbon that’s often overlooked, but it has many attractions and restaurants.

There are lots of restaurants near this hotel, but for a true gorge-fest, try the Bufalo Grill just down the street. They bring roasted meats to your table all night long, so you can eat until your tummy bursts, if you like.

Hotel of the Oriente
Check-in was a breeze, room clean and comfortable. Good hot buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Nothing to complain about really.
