lovely hotel,

we went for a weekend break. great position just off front. Can’t fault the hotel at all, food is ok, what you would expect, you won’t starve. I was only dissapointed with resort, lovely promenade, but not much else to do but walk. poor quality shops, all the same.would not come for a full holiday here,I prefer somewhere with a bit culture although, good train service to barcelona, only 12euros return for 2 of us, the train stops about 10 mins walk away and takes approx 1 hr.

Good quality hotel

The hotel is very clean and our room was comfortable and included air conditioning. The pictures are a true representation of the hotel. The food was a buffet, at breakfast there was an excellent choice, hot and cold food, and all very tasty. Dinner was fine, always a good choice with a good salad and desert selection. The odd main item was overcooked but on the whole I enjoyed the meals. They let you swap dinner for lunch if your half board and fancy a evening out. The swimming pool is too small to swim any lengths but is adequate for a dip and children seemed to enjoy it. There were plenty of sun beds round the pool and these were never all taken in our visit. Staff are all very friendly. Entertainment was provided every evening and was the normal hotel sort of thing sometimes a singer, dancers, magic show etc. Some acts were better than others and apart from some terrible dancers it was quite enjoyable. The location of the hotel is central in the resort and a short walk from the beach. The resort is essentially a strip of hotels with a promenade and shops, there is then a railway line which separates this from the beach. The resort is fine for a week in the sun or used as a base to explore this region of Spain, if you want a week in the sun and Spanish charm and a larger choice of restaurants/shops I’d recommend staying in Tossa del Mar. If you want to party than Santa Susana is probably not a good bet and Lorret del Mar would be the resort for you.

Visit Barcelona, an hour on the train and costs about six euros each return, much cheaper than the coach excursions offered. Riding bikes down the coast is lovely and they cost about 8 euros for half a day. There is a national park to the north of the resort were you can walk and mountain bike in the hills, it is steep in places and unless your staying in July or August when a bus runs to the Park you’ll have to walk there or get a taxi (12 euros).
