Excellent!
The hotel was very easy to find and is located just off the main square. Excellent service from the hotel staff, friendly and spoke good English. Bedroom was very clean (my wife gave it the thumbs up so IT MUST have been clean!), well equipped, although a touch compact, but adequate and comfortable with a very nice en-suite and mini-bar. Again main lounge and dining room compact, but comfortable enough - very very good breakfast with a good choice - scrambled egg and hotdog-type sausages, or cereal, yogurts, meat/cheese, toast, pastries, fruit etc etc. Small bar but surprisingly drinks were very reasonable. If you feel too warm and need the windows open, there is a bit of pedestrian noise, but after a long days walk, we didnt notice within minutes, as the ZZZZZZZs came (and a great nights kip!) The only minor thing I expected free was the internet - computer in the lounge but you have to pay. Overall, I would highly recommend, and if I return to Venice I would stay there again without doubt.
Note - if youre supposed to meet at the Tourist Information Office in St Marks Square, there are 2! The one we were directed to by a Police Officer was just off the square along the canal bank - this was the wrong one where we were supposed to meet for a guided walk (and we werent the only ones!) but fortunately got to the tour as it was about to set off - the other office is in the square itself on the corner just before the Chanel shop.

Taste of Venice
Hotel was a bit of charming traditional Venetian style. Conveniently located near St.Marks Square (A little hard to find in the maise of shops and restaurants)Staff very friendly and helpful. Manager arranged for a free taxi to island of Muranos and a tour of Venetian glass-making factory. Maid wore a black uniform with white lace collar. Room small but charming, bath newly remodeled. Breakfast very quint - a taste of old world elegence. They were able to arrange for us to share a water taxi to the airport at 5am which saved us $55 euros! No problem with Expedia reservations, no extra charges.

great position
Lovely people and a great location. Small and typical 3 star rooms. As youd expect.
