Very nice hotel and customer service.
This hotel is in a really good location in downtown Montreal. Its not too far from the metro and there are plenty of shopping areas around. It is also a good location for nightlife entertainment. The hotel has a modern look and is very clean. The customer service was excellent, they were really friendly and helpful. It was also inexpensive for how nice the hotel was. I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Montreal.

Great service and location
My husband and I stayed here for two nights over the Labor Day weekend. The staff was charming, and the hotels location was ideal. We walked St. Catherines street and to Old Montreal. We ate at really good restaurants right in the neighborhood. The room itself was nicely decorated if a bit small, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Reasonably priced downtown Montreal hotel
This was our fourth trip to Montreal, and the third time we stayed in the downtown area. Compared to the other hotels we visited, the Novotel was inexpensive, and since we had stayed at the Novotel in Zurich some years ago, we were happy to book a room in the Montreal branch. We were given a clean, spacious room with harsh lighting, tired 1950s-style furnishings, and a mini-bar so constructed that we were not permitted to put anything of our own in it over night. The bath was clean and spacious but a bit industrial feeling. The staff was friendly, and the dinner we had in the hotels dining room was excellent (do try their French onion soup)- so overall, our review is mixed.
Traveller's tip on dining
When in Montreal you will definitely want to try a few of the restaurants in "Old Montreal." Dont for get that the more "Scottish" atmosphere in the area of Montreal in which Novotel is sited also produces interesting options.
