Restaurant based hotel in quiet location
The hotel only has two stars but ticked nearly all of my boxes. The room was small but very quiet (as requested), perfectly clean and the toilet/shower room was adequate if small. The shower was a perfect constant temperature. The staff were pleasant, welcoming and efficient. English was fluent. Our evening meal was lovely but we didn’t stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on that.

Peace and tranquility
Situated in the beautiul Correze countryside, the hotel lies on the edge of the village of St Viance, close to the river Vezere. The welcome from Sarah was very warm , and her husband Hilary prepared and excellent dinner. On a Monday evening in September, the dining room was nearly full, the diners being a mixture of hotle guests and locals. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable, with a television, and an en-suite with bath and shower attachment. Our early departure was accommodated with breakfast, and check-out as very efficient. The hotel has a carpark, and is only 5 minutes from the A20. We thoroughly enjoyed or brief stay, and will stay there again for sure if we are in the area.
