Peace and quiet
Lovely hotel away from the main area of Benidorm. Amazing pools, lovely rooms even though the sound proofing could be improved. Great for a quick break as long as you are not in a mood to explore as both Benidorm and Alicante are not great!

Shame about Mercedes
Everything about the hotel would have been perfect, if i had not had the misfortune to be there when all the best facilities (especially restaurants) were given over to a special Mercedes "event". The practical effect was that all mere mortals (i.e. all non-Mercedes people, who had paid plenty of their own hard-earned cash to enjoy a holiday) were treated as second-class citizens. I found this most surprising, given that the resort is enormous, and surely ought to be able to accommodate both Mercedes and the rest of us at the same time out of season. It was not the fault of the staff, who were at all times friendly, courteous and helpful. It seems to me to be for more senior management at the hotel to decide whether they consider business users to be more important than tourist customers.
