Economy
This hotel is centrally located, within 500 feet of the train station. Part of the building is some sort of YMCA. Everyone speaks English, it seems to be the norm in Germany!

Good & inexpensive
Hotel very simple, but you get all you need . Located very close to the train station. Breakfast simple, but ok. Hair dryer was in very poor condition. Would have preferred to have a tea-maker.

Good Hotel Attached to YMCA
Functional, pleasant and well located hotel with helpful staff that provides very good value for money accommodation and decent breakfast. You also get a free pass for public transport in and around Dusseldorf for each day of your stay. My only gripe was that I left a paperback in my room after checking out that wasn’t there when I went back for it.

Eat in the Old City as the restaurants near the hotel / HbF appear to be limited in type and quality.
