Good location
The hotel was very nice and in quite a good location close to 2 metro stations. Very disappointed to find out that the pool and gym facilities were only free from 07.30 - 11.30 and at any other time the charge would be 500 roubles (gbp11) each for 1 hour, didn’t bother. Buffet breakfast was very good, didn’t use the main restaurant in the evenings because it was very expensive. The concierge wasn’t very helpful unless you showed interest in booking a trip organised through the hotel. The charged 800 roubles for the 1 hour boat trip which cost 500 roubles when you booked direct

Travelling on the metro can be difficult unless you can understand the cyrillic alphabet.

impressed superb excellent value four star quality
The hotel is easily accessed, good central location,all attractions within easy walking distance. Staff are attentive, and the hotel is immaculate. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms do not have tea/ coffee making facillities, which would be my only gripe. I would recommend the hotel, although be prepared to be able to speak the basic Russian. Fantastic Bureau de change in the hotel and they offer better rates than the high street or airport, overall, i would definitely return.
Dining out is superb, even a 24 hr restuarant just around the corner, try Sadko,superb food, and the staff who some are from the observatoire, sing, wow, fantastic

Honeymoon in St. Petersburg
A great hotel with fatastic staff and supurb restaurants. About 15 mins walk from most of the major attractions (St. Basils, The Hermitage) with a beautiful park nearby.
Traveller's tip
If you’re visiting St. Petersburg in winter then take some decent walking boots, their guttering system for the buildings just empties onto the pavement sothat every 20 yards you have to walk across a great big block of ice! And watch your bags,purses, etc near Metro stations on Nevsky Prospect as these are where the pick-pockets hang around.
