Goiod, basic quality
Stayed there with two youngsters for a couple of days. Rooms were basic but clean. Hotel is far away (maybe 4 km’s) from the actual centre but it is in a perfect spot where a huge amount of trams, buses and trolleys go. I recommend to buy a 1-day or 3-day ticket. Very cheap and very convenient. A good place to stay.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Lido is a huge "entertainment centre" just outside the city centre. Some attractions and the weirdest buffe restaurant I have seen - hundreds of different types of food. Seems to be a favourite of locals. Reasonable prices, good, cheap beer!

Quality hotel
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the room was excellent. Reception staff were friendly and spoke very good English. The restaurant food was nice. Located near bus and trams stops so getting into Riga was easy. The buses/trolleybuses that ran by the hotel were also frequent.

Great place to stay
If you don’t mind staying outside of the city centre you will not be disappointed with this hotel. It is only a few years old so everything is in good condition, the staff are efficient, breakfast is very good in both variety and quality and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Traveller's tip
There are numerous trams, buses and trolleybuses that will drop you right near the hotel and take only 10-15 minutes to get to the centre of town so being outside the centre is not a problem (unless you don’t like using public transport!)It only costs 0.5 lat per trip which is about 70p but if you but tickets before you board it’s only 0.40 lat.
