Good Hotel
We had a standard twin room and this gave us plenty of space. 2 beds are provided which are both large enough for 2 to share, so this is probably the best way to get a decent sized room for 2 (rather than a double), but still be able to share a bed. NOTE the TV doesnt appear to have any programmes in English BUT if you press the BIL button on the remote control on some channels it gets rid of the Japenese voice over and replaces with the original language, which is usually English (especially useful for BBC World). Buffet breakfast at 1,000 yen is reasonable compared with alternatives, food is OK but doesnt change daily and is not kept very hot
The 500yen 1 day bus pass is very handy. You can get this pass in addition to various other travel passes from the hotel reception which is very convenient. Also ask for the bus map, which is essential and clearly explains in English how to use the buses
