Good base for Tokyo exploration

The room is small, the bathroom is tiny, but if you are in Tokyo as a tourist this should not bother you much as you won’t spend much time in the room anyway. The big plus is a TV monitor that doubles as a computer. I had to spend ~45min to configure mine with English (OS in Japanese), but after that it has been very useful. The hotel location is very good - there are a couple of mini markets, quite a few restaurants, and even McDonalds and Subway right outside the hotel; no more than 2-3 minutes walk. The staff speak very basic English.

ideal location

i arrived about 14.00 so left bags at reception and went round the courner and was surprised to find a matsuri festival going on with dozens of floats anthe last night of my stay came across a jazz/swing festival in the street in the same area of akasaka.when i checked in i had a japanese friend with me and they were a little funny about having guest that wernt lodgers in the hotel the room was really nice though the view out the window was a wall & alley way. they bed was a bit hard but got used to it. the breakfast was complimentaryin the excellsior cafe next door though the food was microwaved it seemed. the internet was usefull to check emails and browse the internet. there was also a laundry service but was very dear and seemed to charge by the item also massages were available for a price. overall nice place location and price as youll spend most of your time out seeing the sights anyway.
