great value - no complaints, whatsoever
We reserved a double bed with a pack n’ play for our 2-year old. The room was small, but very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was sufficient. We also had full-breakfast as a part of our rate and the breakfast was well worth it (especially when travelling with a child). They provided continental style breakfast along with a hot breakfast of your choosing. We were extremely pleased with all of the services and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would only stay here again if visiting Birmingham in the future.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Booking through Expedia gave us a rate that ended up being less in USD than it would’ve been through other sites in GBP. It also included a full breakfast. Unbeatable.

Great staff with a clean room but a loud courtyard
I was hesitant about the Edgbaston due to some extremely negative comments by other travellers. However, I found the staff extremely helpful. The room was small, but clean. I would suggest you request a room that is not on the courtyard as the noise from the bar, guests smoking and visiting, and toher guests moving from reception to their rooms is very disruptive. Because of this, I didn’t sleep while I was there due to this noise. The price is very economical and incuded breakfast so I would stay there again as long as the room was not facing the courtyard.
