Difficult to get to but nice enough
My apartment was fine. I was alone, but it would have accomodated a few people quite comfortably. The kitchen seemed well equipped. The Internet connection was very flakey, and I often got disconnected. There was a missing lightbulb in the hall, which never got replaced despite reporting it to reception, but I wasnt in the apartment much anyway. You definitely need a car and the balls to drive it in the area, with lots of steep hills and poorly surfaced roads. The hotel was hard to find when I got there, as it was late and dark and seemingly well-hidden. The garage has small parking spaces, difficult for those with a bigger or unfamiliar car. Reception was not manned 24-hour. The DVD player in my apartment was broken, but they replaced that when I reported it. I sadly didnt have chance to visit the local area, as I had work to do over in Fuengirola.
You need a car, and the special mentality to drive one in Spain!

Perfect for a couple with a car.
We were very impressed with La Hacienda. Plenty of room and the terrace outside the rooms was a good size. The roof terrace was amazing and the views were outstanding. The parking was a bit tight as we had our own car with us and once or twice had a problem as someone had parked in our space bit the manager sorted that out.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
There is a lovely restaurant in the Pueblo called Manolos and is quiet without the usual tourists. Just off the main street and turn left before the town hall (Ayuntamiento). La Perla is another but more expensive.

Fantastic views
We stayed in one of the Penthouse apartments for 3 nights in December. We chose these Apartments as they were relitively close to Malaga Airport and have a 24 hours reception, as we were arriving late. The whole building faces about south, with sun all day, the lower floors may be shaded by close buildings some of the time though. The views from the Apartment were fantastic and I really enjoyed sitting in the lounge with my feet up and the Sun pouring in the patio doors. A car is nessasary when staying here though, a fair trade off for the views I guess. We will stay here again, but for longer next time.
