Good, Clean Hotel
The front desk was very polite and helpful. The vending machine was an inconvenience. The machine doesn’t take any coins of notes. you have to use your room key and then the amount gets charged to the room. other people might like this, but i did not care for it. The room was small but tidy. The TV in the room was big. The beds were very comfortable which was a plus. We had had some very uncomfortable beds at other places we stayed at. The hotel was just a block away from the tube station, which we used to travel to and from London. We used the bus to get to and from the airport. The driver was very friendly and helpful. For site seeing, the hotel is rather far from downtown London, but I liked not having to be in the middle of all the traffic.

Some doubts
Generally pleased with the hotel, but found it difficult to get to. There was no Naan bread for my meal - but I still paid the full price. The room was good - I would have liked another blanket. There worst part was being asked to pay £6.50 for parking on departure - I was a paying guest! A significant own goal, since I will now only return of no other hotel is available.

Pleasant Staff, Reasonably Priced Dining
The Park Inn Watford is conveniently located just a three block walk from Watford Junction and the main bus stop terminals. Easy access to London, St Albans and Heathrow Airport either via bus (cheaper) or train. As usual the telephone rates are exhorbitant if you use the hotel telephone system. The lights in the room were activated by placing your card key into a slot by the side of the door--very confusing if you haven’t come across this system before, and there were no instructions given so I had to waste the time of the desk clerk. Excellent breakfast buffet, and reasonably priced lunches--didn’t eat dinner in the hotel.
