Not impressed
I was disappointed in the room quality (like broken stuff) and its fitness center. The only advantage this hotel offers is its location.

Nicest you’ll find in this small city
The hotel was not as "grand" as the website makes it appear but the rooms are clean and suitable for a weekend trip. Apparently it is the nicest one in this small city. The only issue that I had was the noise. We could hear everything from the kids on the street at 5 am to the cleaning chatting outside our door early in the morning. The location is great though, right on the square and near all the stores.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Eat at the best restaurant in town which is very modern cuisine called Valvasor. Its pricy (150 euros for 2 of us) but worth the trip alone and they have a neat wine selection of Slovenian specials. Ask for Marco the manager. Get the truffle handmade penne with alfredo sauce as starter, and then the truffle sea bass dish as a main course..wow..delish. Its a short 10 minute walk from the hotel.
