Great Hotel - lovely / quiet / friendly

The hotel was really great. I’d really worried about booking somewhere that I hadn’t seen, and I was really happy (I was taking my mother away as a surprise 60th bday present). The staff were very helpful, the room was immaculate with a beautiful sea view, and the pool was lovely. The only downside was the breakfast which really isn’t 4 star. Lots of choice but very mediocre in quality. If you are going to visit Spiaggia della Pelosa be warned that it is very crowded. The beach is beautiful, but with the tourists, it really isn’t worth the effort. (we went 2nd week in Sept so I dread to think of how crowded it is in July and August). Stintino is nice sleepy fishing village, and there are some reasonable walks to be had. The hotel is very quiet and feels secluded - no loud musoc, and not many families.

A great hotel if you are looking for that relaxing & quiet break away

We have just returned from Stintino having spent 5 days there. It is a very quiet part of Sardinia which is what we were looking for. We asked for a sea room view and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly (although English was not the best - don’t fall into the trap we fell into - take a good phrase book as not many sards speak english!) We ate there on the last night and again the food was excellent and relatively cheap in comparison to the meals we had eating out. The breakfast was basic continental but served it’s purpose as we didn’t eat most days again till about 1400. The biggest tip we can give you is that, if you try to look for the hotel late at night, look out for a big yellow sign that looks like it says ’Al Java Lew’ Strange as it might sound, but we drove past the sign lots and realised that the scrawly handwriting! We would definitely reccomend this peaceful tucked away hotel - happy holidays!

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Take a phrase book with you as not many Sards speak English. Also fish is a big speciality so expect to see it feature very heavily on menus. Stintino was lovely and quiet with fantastic beautiful beaches, Porte Torres was v industrial and the city of Sassari was disappointing - the driving is bad and there was lots of building work going on!

very nice small hotel, one of the better one in the area.

Friendly, clean and quiet small hotel. We had one of the apartments, which was perfect with young children. In August the pool was always quiet, no need to fight for a sun bed!! Beach towels are available at the hotel reception.

Traveller's tip

Local beach was lovely, but very busy and difficult to park if not there before 10.00am.
