Miles from town

We’d booked a short break in Alghero but couldn’t get availability for the hotel we’d chosen for the 1st night. This seemed like the next best thing. It’s just OK... pleasant enough but not great. We were pretty hungry when we arrived and fancied a pizza or something. The only thing available was a "cold plate".. meat, cheese, fruit etc which cost us about £25. The main positive is the lovely beach right next to the hotel. The drawbacks are the lack of entertainment and the distance from town. It really is very isolated and the taxis are pretty expensive. Frankly all the guests looked bored stiff and we were pretty happy to move on the next day.

Make sure you have plenty of cash for taxis. Hiring a bike is no good because you’re in the middle of nowhere
