dissappointing

Having stayed at the Trevi hotel 2 times before and found it both freindly and accomodating, with evening meals value for money and good quality house wine. This trip however was different, we asked for non smoking rooms but they had ashtrays so were smoking, on arrival we asked if it was possible to have rooms on the beach but recieved a abrupt reply from the desk saying we had not paid for this. We booked the evening meal as the menu looked reasonable, the food however was served up cold by an unattentive waiter who looked as if he did not want to be there. The wine was meant to be red but looked like rose and tasted watered down and probably was, the white was no better. Cold food in my book is totally unacceptable and is down to bad staff. Although the hotel is in a lovely position and previous experiences ther have been good I will think twice before staying there again and will check out other local hotels.
