Ok Hotel
Room was nice. bathroom sliding door wouldn’t close and was completely off the track. Not sure how housekeeping could have missed it.

Vey quaint-breakfast was outstandinga!
I feel they do need to provide regualr drinking water even if for sale. The Turkish Soccer Team was up all night singing and dancing. We asked for a couple of hours more to get some sleep the next day and they only accomodated us with 1/2 hour. (we checked in at midnight our plane was delayed).
Traveller's tip on shopping
Grocery store right around the corner sell regular water and food for much less. Very clean and the food so delicious! Extremely close to the train station-walking distance. Also, walking distance from Danube river cruise ships.

Nice Hotel in a good location
A nice comfortable clean Hotel, with friendly staff. Well located very close to the centre of the old historic part of this charming City, which makes getting around and seeing the sights very easy. The Hotel is about 500 metres from the Railway Station, which is easily walkable although you will have to negotiate some cobbled streets, which is a bit of a challenge on luggage wheels, though not insurmountable. The old historic part of Passau itself is very attractive and there are some lovely streets to walk through, a nice Cathedral and a Fort/Museum on the other side of the river. Ideal for an overnight stay or a short weekend but probably not much longer.
We flew by Ryanair (very cheaply) to Linz in Austria and got a train from there to Passau. The bus from Linz airport to the Rail Station cost 2.5 Euro (Apr 2008) and the rail journey cost about 14 Euro (single) and takes between 1h 10m and 1h 35m depending on which train you get. Train tickets were cheaper from the machine at the rail stations than booking directly on line.
