clean hotel, good location for families
This hotel is a family establishment and the woman who is at the front desk is friendly and speaks enough English to communicate. We had a triple room which was spacious enough to have all four family members sleep together. The room was clean, bed was standard firm bed. Extra pillows and a pencil were supplied when requested. There is a small bathroom with tub/shower combo in each room. The location is good for family. It is a 5 min walk to the aquarium and a fun shopping mall with a food court and a great little pet "petting zoo." There is also a giant ferris wheel which gives a great view of Osaka. This hotel is nothing fancy but it was affordable, clean, comfortable and a great family area. Just a word about getting here from Shin-Osaka station. We made the mistake of taking a taxi from the train station which cost equivalent of $40 USD. The directions on expedia to take subway are perfect although you may have to carry suitcase up some stairways or hunt for elevator. The hotel is not that close to "downtown" area. The hotel is very, very convenient to subway and the subway is very easy to use, reasonably priced, clean and safe. Last, but not least, there are several restaurants, souvenir shop, and a laundromat near hotel.
Traveller's tip
If you are traveling to/from Kansai international airport there is a bus shuttle. Directions are also given on the expedia info about hotel. The shuttle runs every hour most of the day and is located a 5 min walk from the hotel. The price is reasonable 1,500 yen per adult and 650 yen per child. The bus was very empty when we traveled and no advance reservation was needed. The bus stop is labeled and is under the giant ferris wheel near the Tempozan market place (shopping mall).
