High-end boutique experience at value pricing
For both business and pleasure, this hotel offers superlative value for an experience that rivals other high end boutiques – not only in Taiwan but across other major cosmopolitan cities. The decor and rooms are excellent and the staff provides outstanding service. The walk to the MTR is reasonable once you get your bearings, but we found ourselves taking lots of cabs, as taxi rides are relatively cheap in Taipei. All in all, this hotel is highly recommended.

Service with a smile
The staff at The Ambience are certainly the best thing about the hotel, they are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The standard room was quiet, spotless and a generous size for a city centre hotel, the bathroom was a little small but the rain style shower was lovely and roomy. The buffet breakfast was varied and there always seemed to be plenty available no matter the time of arrival for breakfast. I couldnt recommend this hotel highly enough for a stay in Taipei.
Traveller's tip on dining
Go to the night markets. The oyster omlettes at Shilin Night Market are especially tasty and really cheap.

Thumbs Up
Great boutique hotel. Minimalist design. Room is a bit small, and walls can use better sound-proof, but the place is clean. Provide high-speed internet, CD and DVD players. Location is decent. About 10-12mins by taxi to downtown. Lots of japanese and taiwanese restaurants nearby. Overall, this hotel is recommended for single or business travellers.
