Wonderful Bellagio Stay

My stay at Bellagio was what I hoped and expected it would be. The hotel’s fantastic reputation preceded it and I was not disappointed.

Bellagio is fabulous, but has disagreeable quirk

The air powered low-flow toilets just do NOT work. The only way to flush them is to dump an ice bucket full of water into the toilet bowl. Weird quirk for a hotel that is this expensive. And, of course, you figure LV is in the desert, okay they want to save water. But they aren’t saving much. After you flush four or five times, you’ll be searching for the ice bucket. I notice that they don’t have this kind of toilet in the public casino areas. That would be a ghastly! Imagine. We stayed in the Spa Tower. It is possible that there are fancier rooms in other towers without this problem. Nonetheless, you’ll love the room, comfy bed, and that heated marble floor in the bathroom, but you’ll wonder if that makes up for the big problem.

Luxurious

The bed linens were high quality and the bed was very comfortable; bath towels were at least an inch thick. Wonderful room to return to after walking around the strip for hours. Our room overlooked Mount Charleston. My only complaint was when I requested an upgrade and was advised to request one for the next night, i.e., on the second night (a Thursday) of a three night stay. It was apparent that the staff member didn’t want to be bothered despite there being no one waiting in line to check in.
