The perfect location
Our stay in Stuttgart was made very easy at the Intercity as it is located right above the city’s main train station, the Hauptbahnhof. This was great for getting anywhere we needed to go in the city. It is also situated near the centre of town at one end of Konigstrasse. It is within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. However the hotel also treated us to free transport passes for the duration of our stay. So getting on the U Bahn and S trains was simple from the hotel door. Although we were concerned before we arrived, we could not hear any train noise in the hotel at all.
Breakfast was extra at the hotel so we opted to go down to the station concourse each morning and get breakfast from one of the many cheap food stalls and coffee kiosks.

Won’t stay there again
I have stayed at this hotel before and for conveneinc and a reasonable standard of comfort it was fine. This time I was given a room without air conditioning a long way from the reception area which was very very basic. Clearly the reception staff were a bit concerned as they looked at each toehr when I checked in and spoke in German about something. I requested a change and was told the hotel wa full..given I stayed there 2 days and saw virtually no one I don’t believe them!,
don’t take the hotel breakfast it is expensie and there are very good options available from the station next door or the shopping centre across the road.

great location, good value
Had a great time. The hotel is in a superb location for getting about, staff were extremely helpful and it offered excellent value for money. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.
