A real tropical rainforest experience. Off of the main road so that you are away from traffic.
They upgraded us to the honeymoon Pod. fun. It has a river swim hole and a nice little swimming pool. Staff very helpful.

Dissapointing -check what you are expecting and a bit tired
Daintree is an amazing location and very beautiful. This hotel was very dissapointing. At best I would say this place is "ok for a night to experience the area". I expected remote and minimal impact on environment but to be honest this place could do with some sprucing up. In fact there were builders working on a few cabins which made it noisy...but I thought it was more the day to day care of it rather than the cabins that was the problem. The cabins are clean but the lighting is poor. There were nets at windows but could have done with bed nets ( bites!!) Service - staff were very nice but service level was hit n miss. Food- dinner was great but menu was a bit limited and from what I understand doesnt change much. Breakfast was a self selection of bread, fruit and cereal. This meant plates of fruit and bread carelessly half covered with clingfilm and a big tub of natural yoghurt left out to warm. Creek is beautiful. Pool is small and has nowhere to sit apart from one broken lounger. The area surrounding the pool was mossy and not well kept and the railings rusty. Chairs were tatty too. It just all looked like it needed a good spruce up. ( appreciate that the rainforest environment is challenging but...there were enought staff sat behind the desk....give em a broom and some oil for the furniture!!) All in all- beautiful setting - but a bit more effort in folks!!

4 days in the rainforest
Not a hotel for home comforts - indeed it was rather primitive and the rain forest is constantly damp (at least in July anyway). But the terraine - crocodile infested rivers, out of this world beaches and the rainforest itself made this an unforgettable experience. The hotel restaurant had an exotic menu including kangeroo, crocodile and emu.
