Good hotel for the money

This hotel was clean and only about 4 miles from the historic district of Annapolis. It was easy to get to. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The pool was small but the water was clean and warm. However, it is open weekdays from from 5pm-10pm; 10am-10pm on weekends. Ane Arundel county law stipulates they must have a lifeguard on duty. If there’s no lifeguard, the pool will be closed. They offered free shuttle service around the area with a last pick-up time of 9:30 pm. The breakfast was satisfactory, waffles, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice. I would stay here again.

Hotel in Shambles

We chose to stay at this location in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an untidy outside entrance, littered with construction debris, a dumpster and equipment. Check-in was smooth. However, one of the things we remembered about our stay at the previous Country Inn were the home baked chocolate chip cookies. This location offered cookies. However, they were of the cheap store variety, like cardboard. We proceeded up the open staircase in the lobby. At the head of the stairs we were "greeted" by an open utility closet displaying rollaway beds, cleaning carts, etc. This door remained open during our entire two night stay. Our room was adequate. We noticed that the window in our room was in disrepair of some sort and wondering why there was duct tape at the top of it. Upon returning to our hotel on the 2nd night we were "greeted" in the lobby by one of the managers (so it appeared) airing out displeasure with an employee. Upon seeing us, he snapped up then continued his displeasure. Complimentary breakfastwas more like a continental breakfast bar. They did offer bake your own waffles, probably the best thing. The only egg offering was premade breakfast burritos. We skipped the 2nd morning and opted to eat our breakfast out. Upon checkout, the clerk was efficient but did not thank us or ask us how our stay was. We would definately not stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to others.
