Italian holiday
Hotel Prestige is located in an Italian beach town on the Adriatic. Everyone you meet will be Italian and little English is spoken in the town except at the hotel desk. The hotel offers prepaid lunch and dinner which might be a good idea since the town has few restaurants and they cost more than the hotel’s restaurant. There is a small market in town where you can assemble a nice picnic. The room has a small refrigerator. We visited in late June and it was still a bit chilly and rainy. The nearby town of Pescara has all the tourist attractions that Montesilvano lacks while still being totally Italian. We took a bus from Rome (Tiburton station, not Termini) to Montesilvano. Buy your tickets before you need them to be assured of a seat.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Traveler’s Checks were very hard to change. Only a rare bank will change them. The money changing businesses will charge you 15%. Bring a debit card or your ATM card and your PIN number to get Euros. It’s expensive but the alternatives are worse. Wine is as cheap as Coke in a restaurant and cheaper than Coke in a grocery store.

the hotel was very clean ,the staff were very helpfull ,most spoke english,and the location suited us just fine. great stay would go again.

Great Hotel for the Money-Poor Restaurant !
The Hotel was just wonderful. With the exception of the heater in our room not 3working the first night, all went well. We actually extended our stayfor an additional two day. TheRestaurant was very poorly run and did not have very good service nor were we able to charge our meals to a credit card. Quality of food was fair at best.
