wonderful experience
This was our second trip back to Port Royal. It was excellent although the weather wasnt always good (rain and snow showers). Nice room and easy check in. Christan (concerige) helped make my wifes birthday special. He is a definite asset to the hotel. One negative not connected with the hotel, someone pick pocketed my video camera while walking the streets of Quebec city!
Traveller's tip on dining
Excellent mussles for dinning just down the street for eating at Moss Cafe. Also the St. Lawrence River Boat ride was nice.

Hotel Port-Royal Suites in Quebec City
The staff are bilingual, made train res for us, upgraded our hotel room due to miscommunication. The location was in the Vieux Port of Quebec City--only 10-15 walk to Chateau Frontenac and other parts of the old city. Our room was huge, bed and pillows comfy and amenities a plus. Id definitely stay there again.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
There is a Petro Canada gas station around the corner of the hotel. You can get snacks and drinks which is handy if you dont want a big breakfast. They take US dollars and give change back in Canadian monies. There is also a huge farmers market within walking distance where you can taste the merchandise before you buy.

Stylish and convenient
I was impressed with the high standard and stylish decor of the room. The staff were helpful upon request but not intrusive. All of old Quebec City is within walking distance and the hotel is a minute walk from the harbour.
Traveller's tip on shopping
The hotel shares the street with numerous art galleries if youre looking for something to take away.
