Great location, very reasonable price.
Found this hotel very good for the price. Free breakfast with several choices from cereal to eggs and breads/rolls etc. Room with the kitchenette was useful for making coffee in the morning and storing snacks and drinks. Within walking distance to Old Montreal and most noted sites and with the Metro only about a block away, you can get everywhere easily. Bank on the next corner, IGA down the street (maybe 2 blocks) and a 24/7 pharmacy which also carries food/drinks/batteries etc. The area might look questionable but I never had a problem and saw several police patrolling the metro outside to be sure nothing was going on. I never felt threatened. There is a rooftop (with chairs/tables/grill) that I discovered a couple of days before I was to leave which actually had a semi decent view towards the Old City and port. There was also a workout room with wts/machines that could be used. The only negative was no clean towels during the week (but I dont wash mine everyday either) and some noise from a condo construction site just down the street. The Lord Berri, and the Jazz are right there too, so anything around this construction site may have the same problem. Just have some ear plugs if you plan on sleeping late. Free Internet access was provided in the loby for checking e-mail etc. but dont expect to surf as you need to share with other patrons. Over all, this place was a bargain and staff was very nice and helpful.

Would definitly stay again
This hotel is located downtown old Montreal Berri terminal is one half block away, easy access to the underground city. Not to be missed. It is near to shopping, restaurants, pharmacies and a full service grocery store. The breakfast was fresh and hot, served from 6 to 11 am. The suite was large comfortable clean beds were good. room was quiet. 1/2 mile to cruise terminal. Taxi was a flat rate service of $38 from the airport.
