Excellent hotel
My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day stay here as part of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Great location and friendly staff. We booked a pool view room but we’re delighted to find we’d been upgraded to a sea view room, probably because I’d mentioned it was a honeymoon booking. The room was a good size, very clean with a comfortable bed. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning. Drinks prices were very reasonable, we were a little disapointed that there was no evening meal however it is low season at the moment and the town is only a 2 min taxi ride away. Aegina is an absolutely beautiful island and hopefully we will return one day.

Lovely view, but make sure you get it...
Had a very nice weekend at the end of June at this hotel. Great location on the coast and nice little pool area. However, having booked, and paid extra for, a seaview, we were allocated a room on the side of the hotel overlooking an unfinished building. When we pointed this out they immediately gave us another room with a beautiful view over the sea. Given the prices (even more than 4 star Grecotels in central Athens), they could be a bit more friendly.
Traveller's tip on dining
Walk the 15 mins down into town for dinner while it’s still light and try the fresh fish; get a taxi (3 euros) back up the hill after dark.

Danae Hotel - Aegina - Ancient Capital of Greece
Enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Danae. It was in a good position. a modern hotel good facilitites hot water all the time and spotlessly clean. The only drawback was the lack of breakfast variety although some mornings were much better if staff were available to cook for us.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
It’s a port and there are other beautiful islands within easy reach. Hydra and Poros are a must.
