Spectacular 1st stop of our trip !!
We were greeted with a very warm welcome at Villa Carlotta . My husband andI took my mom to Sicily for her 75th birthday . Her parents were both born there and she had never been there. We visited several towns including where my grandparents were born . The entire trip was very special . Our first stop was in Taormina and we stayed at Villa Carlotta . I had emailed Riccardo ahead of time to tell them that we were celebrating mom’s birthday in her grandparents home country . We had a wonderful room, and when we arrived they had a birthday cake and champagne waiting for us . We ate the cake on their beautiful breakfast terrace. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding , it would turn out to be the best breakfast that we had our entire trip . It was loaded w/ items and everything was incredibly delicious !!! We were sorry to leave and would definitely return to Villa Carlotta .

Well situated, excelent attention specially at breakfast. Everyone know at second day by your name.
Great decorations specially the silver ceramic head at the bar. Excelence service and modern rooms but keeping the old villa style in the outside. Quiet and very clean in all aspects.

Taormina is one of the cities to visit in Sciliy, great views, excelent food, near sightseeing and good shopping.
