Great value, friendly staff, and a roof top pool!
I was in Aswan off season so the rates were low but the New Pola was still top notch in everyway. The pool was great after a long hot day of touring.
Traveller's tip on dining
Ask a cab to take you to the Sofra restaurant for Egyptian food. Excellent food and atmosphere! Eat on the top floor overlooking the street. Friendly staff.

Great Hotel
Hotel is just out side the busy town but in easy walking distance. Drinks were reasonably priced. Breakfast was self service, and if you did not see it just ask and it appeared. Did not try dinner thou. Had some laundry down whilst here and perfect. Also great pool on the room to wind down of an afternoon sightseeing with a cold beer
Traveller's tip on shopping
Haggle first day i paid the price asked.Know the actual cost . so you have a price to aim at. Rember the life of Brian haggle . i found it easier to think of a price and just give them the money. ie the average price for 1L of water is about E3.50 but when i gave them E2 they were happy. also other tip . change your money into the smallest notes as tipping is norm ie if you have no change you end up giving a E10 rather than E3 or E5 have a great time

Top View
Excellent view from the rooftop terrace/pool over the Nile. A fair amount of noise from the road but Luxor is a noisy place. Good value for money.
