A room with a view
I had read many reviews about the Emilio. Some said it was noisy and dusty . Well, it is - and for good reason ! You are staying in an hotel in the CENTER of Luxor . It is on a main intersection of roads and there is constant horn blowing traffic and dust . That is the price you pay for such a wonderful central location . The views of the Nile and Luxor temple FAR outweigh the drawbacks . The roof pool is a blessing and watching the sunsets and the hubbub below is priceless . This hotel is a jewel for those wanting to experience the throb of the city . Want peace and quiet ? Try the Hilton .
Traveller's tip on shopping
The Emilio is about 100 ft away from the bazaars . Go one way for the tourist stuff , but try the other direction for the local market . Battling for bargains is hard and heavy, but it can be fun is done with patience .

Best location with reasonable price in Luxor
I spent one day here. The hotel is centrally located and very close to Luxor temple. U can see the gorgeous scenery of Nile river through the hotel window. The room is clean and the staff is helpful with good english speaking. Breakfast is quite upset! Mcdonald is in walking distance with free wifi.
A small grocery shop near the hotel is cheap with no charge for foreigners.

Great staff, great management, great food ! just a shame that no-one seemed to be aware that I would be arriving last time ! Hope this small wrinkle will be ironed out before my next visit in December 2008 !!!
