Comfort on Sunset
if you don’t plan on spending much time in your room other than sleep time the comfort in is a great centrally located spot to stay. the exterior is "so so" as is the pool area, also not much room for parking. but they really did the best they could to update the rooms to give them a "pottery barn" feel so much so that the exterior appears even more dated. would absolutely reco this spot to someone who wants to see the the sights on hollywood boulevard during the day and spend nights on the strip. short dives to melrose or universal etc.

It was Irritating
There was a huge bug (cockroach maybe?) in the first room we were assigned to. We were then moved to another room, the bathroom window didn’t close all the way, the TV was hooked up through the VCR so in order to work the TV you had to use 2 different remotes and hit the correct buttons in the correct order, which was the biggest pain. We requested a late check out the evening before checkout (noon instend of 11:00am), in the morning I went down to the checkout desk to reconfirm that we could stay in our room til noon and the guy at the desk said no we do not allow late checkouts. Even though one of my family members has stayed there numerous times and was given a late checkout without a fee.

Nice and close to everything
We stayed here for 3 nights and I have to say I enjoyed it very much. It was within walking distance of all the hot spots, including Walk of Fame, Mann’s Chinese Theatre, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us to decide on what tours to go on, etc and gave us money off vouchers for Universal Studios. They also helped organise a bus to bring us back to airport. The building is a little old and room is a little dark but it was very clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Continental breakfast in the mornings was also very nice. Would recommend this hotel for all ages
Universal Studios was excellent but get the Front of the Line passes. Costs about $30 extra but so worth it as you go straight to the front of every ride or attraction which means you get to see and do everything. Also organise a shuttle bus with the hotel before arriving at airport. Taxi was about $60!
