Brilliant hotel, absolutely the best staff, perfect location, worth twice was it cost
I will never forget my stay at the Cavendish -- 8 perfect days in a brilliantly designed and decorated hotel, with a staff that was absolutely the best Ive ever encountered (appropriately professional and friendly at the same time). The food was superb and well priced, and the location cant be beat -- across the street from Fortnums (try the Coxs Apple Juice from the Queens Sandringham Estate in the downstairs food court), close to Clarence House, St. Jamess Palace, and Buckingham Palace. Less than a block or two from New and Lingwood (best designed and made menswear in London for my money), Turnbull and Asser (where Prince Charles buys his shirts), and Favourbrooks three gorgeous shops (Edwardian inspired designs for today for men and women). If available, arrange to get the "Full English" breakfast (and read Tom Parker Bowles book by the same name) for a small add-on to the price of the room -- its excceptionally good. My room was very large (it was in the middle-tier price wise)and I had an incredible view of the London Eye. This hotel, on fashionable Jermyn St., is close to everything -- so close to the Royal Acadeny of Art, a very short wlak to theatres, and a brief cab ride to Victoria and Albert Museum -- is incredibly quiet because its a block from Piccadilly Street. I will never forget the staff, each of whom was incredibly attentive and made me feel most welcome. I will stay here again -- and again -- and Im just looking for an excuse to go back!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
One can save money by buying prepared food across the steet at Fortnums, or three blocks away at a very reasonably priced Tescos sueprmarket. Definitely ask the hotel to arrange for the hotel car to take you to the airport -- its a very reasonably priced service, and nice not to end your trip by lugging your bags onto the subway and train station.

Great location!
Recently refurbished with all the mod cons which added to it being brilliantly located for a night out in piccadilly/leicester square/covent garden. The room cost certainly counterbalanced cab fares. Plus by nipping to regent street there were plenty of cafes on offer for coffee and cakes and a leisurely breakfast. This suited out one night city treat perfectly!
