Will go back
Very nice old hotel in the heart of Back Bay. Convenient parking arrangement. The only odd thing was a knock on our door around 8:30 pm with a request to come in and check the smoke detector. We told him to come back tomorrow, and he agreed. We did call the main desk anyway to confirm; they said yes, sorry. We thought it was odd to want to bother guests in the evening, rather than during the day when we would have checked out. Other than that, it was great.

Disappointing!
Location is the only benefit to staying at this hotel. This is an old hotel and while attempts at modernizing it are visible, they still have a long way to go. Housekeeping does a minimal job when making up a room. I found someones comb under the dining table. Beds are a uncomfortable. Walls are little thin; could hear neighbors "activities" nightly. My room had a nice view and it also had a microwave oven and a little mini refrig.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The T station is right across the street and it a great way to get around the city. If you are going to stay 3 days or more, get the weekly pass for $15.

Second visit as good as the first, will go back again!
This is my second time staying at this hotel and its a good place to stay, especially for a baseball game. Walking distance to metro, local boutiques and Fenway Park. Ill definately be staying again!
