The hotel was lovely and in a wonderful location.
We enjoyed our stay at the Conquistador very much. The pool area was beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Our rooms were clean with a lovely view of the pool and ocean and we thought a bargain for the price we paid. We walked through other hotels and likes ours much better. We will definitely be back!

Dated, the people & the Hotlel
The hotel, but also the Playa area, is old & many hotels are dated. The staff tried, but the amenties were old & tired, and so were many of the winter guests. Rooms were small, no Refg. With 1/2 board, breakfast was good, but dinner was the same everynight. No themes or variations. They charged for coffee @ dinner. The pool bar was closed in winter, and the pool closed at 6pm. Had to pay 1.5 euros/day for each towel, and had to rent the safe daily/or weekly, to protect our personal items. The tennis courts were not maintained, and one was converted into a soccer field. The only thing good, was the location. Right on the boardwalk, western view of sunset, and best spot for surfing.
Go across the street to Garibaldi’s for dinner. Take a trip to La Gomera and rent a jeep to drive to the top of Tiede. Hooters has sports and free Wifi, if you buy a cold beer.
