Beatiful way to celebrate 25 years of marriage
Lovely hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful. grounds beautiful. Spa excellent. Only downside the weather 2 days of rain not expected by anyone in September so anniversary a bit of a washout, but still had a great time despite this. would definitely go back one day.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
loads of free activities for you to partake in so pack trainers etc to make the most of them all. Definitely splash out on spa worth the money.

Excellent honeymoon
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon and we had an excellent trip. There were so many good points, so here are a few:- The stars are most definitely the staff - everyone was so helpful and after only just a few days, the staff knew all of our likes and dislikes. I particularly liked that the hotel dont encourage tipping of individual staff, but prefer (if you wish) to leave a single tip in a box when you leave - this is then divided evenly between everyone. Any time we had questions or wanted something changed, the staff were fantastic. Even the night we left, the chef arranged to serve us early and provided an alternative to the published menu as I dont especially like fish. We particularly liked one meal and the chef provided my wife with a hand-written recipie. The food is gorgeous and we are still trying to shed the extra weight we put on and that was despite never eating at lunchtime! Plus, we only ever ate in the main restaurant. There isnt much negative feedback, but one thing that did annoy me was water - neither my wife or I drink, so we didnt bother paying for the all inclusive option. Water with the evening meals is very expensive and you cant take your own water to the dining tables. If you decide to go, I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Walk in to the local village and buy bottles of water for a tenth of the price charged in the hotel - its only ten minutes to the shops and the locals are all very friendly. Drink some water in your room before you eat and then have some free tea or coffee after the meal.

Legends
The hotel is very good, as described in the information. There are three beaches, but they are quite small and two would not class as natural. However, there is plenty of space for everyone. Rooms are very good, staff very friendly although check in took quite a long time. The food is excellent, but you will end up paying a surcharge to eat in all but one of the restaurants even if you are half/full board. Wine list has huge mark ups! The spa is excellent and there are lots of facilities so you can fill your time happily in the resort, although you will gain more by travelling round a bit, to Grand Baie for instance which is quite close. Although a big hotel you never feel like Legends is crowded, and there were never lots of people waiting to go and use the facilities or go diving etc.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Walk into the local village and buy water and beers, and if you like a drink bring wine and spirits with you from home and drink on the terrace of your room!
