A gem in Salzburg
The hotel is in a great location, on a pedestrian only street, 5 min walk to the river and across it the fortress and all the tourist sites. The rooms are large and comfortable, well furnished, nice big bathroom too, and the hotel has an elevator ! (It does not have a restaurant, but serves a breakfast buffet.) Great value for the reasonable price.
Traveller's tip on dining
The restaurant in the Hotel Stradtkrug, down the same street at number 20, serves wonderful Austrian food. Its not cheap, but the food is spectacular, they have a formal dining room, and for lunch at least, open a terrace on the roof.

Excellent 3 Star, that is almost like a 5 star in a great location!
Great size rooms with free internet access and a computer that you can borrow. the hotel is right next to St. Sebastian church on Getreidegasse, so you will hear a lot of ringing. This is a great location, only about a 7 minute walk to the Domplatz, or five minute walk to downtown. Also, the hotel is right on a street that has a bunch of shops and cafes. Perfect hotel. The staff is also very friendly.

Ideal
We were given one of the apartments which was probably through luck, but they were brilliant. The hotel is ideally placed on a street with plenty of cafes and restaurants and within easy walking distance of all the attractions. All in all, a really good place to stay in Salzburg
