Excellence
Hotel Lutetia is extremely well situated at the top end of La Canebiere. The hotel staff are most welcoming and create a sense of friendship rather than hotel/client. Rooms were clean and comfortable , without being luxurious. They were at the top end of what you would expect of this standard of hotel. Brakfast, buffet style, was very good and staff attentive making sure that there was a plentiful supply of everything. The small patisseries - croissants & pain au chocolat - were the highlight.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Plenty of first class restaurants at reasonable prices - Pavillon, rue Pavillon, is a small famil run bistrot that offers wonderful lunch while Le Marseillais on Quai de la Rive Neuve will provide you with an outstanding dinner in a prime location.
