A good package holiday type hotel
This hotel seems to specialise in package holidays. My previous experience of this type of hotel has been very poor but I was pleasantly surprised with the Astoria Playa. Instead of inedible food (like I expected) the food was OK. Instead of grumpy staff, we gots smiles. The room was comfortable and fairly well decorated, the pool area was about the right size, there were lots of local amenities. All of it very geared for Brit and German tourists - KFC, Pizza Hut. For an easy sun and beach holiday without any hassles this place seems a good choice.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Majorca is a really beautiful island. Hire a car one day and tour around the mountainous north coast.

Excellent - Definitely recommend
Friendly staff, clean rooms, plenty of sun loungers, lovely pool, food was fine. Will go back.

Can’t wait to go back
This a very good quality 3 star hotel. Lobby, bar and food presentation in the restaurant are in our view 4 star. Location is great, 5 min to a fantastic beach and next to a big number of restaurants/shops of various types and categories. The only problems we had were ants in the room and a strange light smell - but it was not critical.
Traveller's tip on dining
Restaurant Jardin opposite the hotel is a great experience and we recommend it to every connoisseur. It is very expensive but worth every penny.
