great hotel and winery out back
We loved staying here for our week long trip to Napa. It’s just south of the main road and easy access to everything. Walked through the vineyard every morning and at night.

Meritage Hotel
Overall I was moderately satisfied with my stay at the Meritage. We stayed for 6 days and almost every day we needed to bring something to the attention of the front desk. The response was amazingly slow. The staff was very slow to make up rooms on a daily basis. We would leave by 9 am and on two occassions when we returned by 3pm, the room hadn’t been touched. This may have occurred on other days as well but we started staying out until 5 or 6pm after the first couple times this happened. Attention to detail also wasn’t a strong point with the room makeup. We found a dirty diaper under the bed one morning and the previous day none of the toiletry items had been replenished. This hotel came recommended from a colleague who was satisfied with his stay but I found it lacking in many ways.

The way to enjoy Napa
The hotel had an european flavor. Very nice. The spa and wine tasting bar perfect touch. We would recommend people stay there.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We decided to stay in Napa and enjoy the local area, especially the downtown area. The riverside festival was fun.
